bracelet week
The weather has been unreal. It's rained maybe three days since summer began here is Massachusetts. Perfect for summer fun but for producing new work...not so much. Actually, for the last few days I've been working on bracelets using 1" beads with a common color scheme and varying patterns. Instead of building new canes, I've breathed life into some that I've created over the last year. That way I was able to sneak into my studio and do a little at a time. I'll be showcasing my creations here over the next week. Let me know what you think.

mismatch
This piece was fun to make. Didn't get caught up in the monotony of making the same beads over and over. Although I'd heard that they let loose fairly easy when you use them on necklaces, I used a magnetic clasp. This one held tightly. I decided to wear it the night I made it. It got caught on the shirt I was changing into - the clasp didn't let loose but a poorly crimped bead did. Never even made it out of the house! I'll be restringing that shortly.
